Job Description:
· Set up and operate a variety of manual and CNC equipment to create parts of various complexity
· Calibrate tools and tool offsets
· Maintain equipment in safe and productive condition
· Make CNC programs on FUSION 360
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints
· Machine product to specified requirements as defined within production shop orders, drawings and sketches or as directed
· Ensure quality parts are produced
· Use ERP System to track work
· Use a variety of power tools – deburring equipment
· Practice excellent general housekeeping, including but not limited to, his/her work area, chip removal, floor areas, benches, and storage areas to ensure a safe work environment
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience:
· A Certificate of Qualification is an asset
· High school diploma required
· Previous experience in a machine shop/Familiarity with Mills, Lathes and CNC setup and operation is preferred
· Solid works, E-drawings or similar experience is an asset
· Mastercam, FUSION or similar CNC programming experience is an asset
· Good knowledge of cutting tools as well as speeds and feeds an asset
· Experience in an Automation environment will be preferred
· Prior experience with machine tools and industrial machines
· Have excellent knowledge of material properties
· Professional knowledge of safety protocols when operating machines
· Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
· Quality workmanship, efficiency, and ability to work independently
· Troubleshoot breakdowns (Aptitude for Problem Solving)
