About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Shipper / Receiver to join our growing automation and robotics team. In this role, you will be a key part of our operations — ensuring parts, raw materials, and finished assemblies move efficiently through our facility and to our outsourcing partners. Key Responsibilities:
Receiving
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming purchased parts, raw materials, and hardware against purchase orders
- Perform basic quality checks on receipt — inspecting for damage, quantity accuracy, and part number conformance
- Document discrepancies and initiate returns or replacements with vendors as needed
- Label, sort, and stock incoming materials in designated locations within the warehouse
Shipping & Outsourcing Vendor Management
- Prepare and ship parts to outsourcing vendors including powder coat, black oxide, anodizing, and machining partners
- Track all outbound shipments and coordinate timely returns from vendors to support production schedules
- Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, and courier labels
- Liaise with couriers and freight carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.) to arrange pickups and manage shipment issues
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records within Total ETO (company ERP system)
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with scheduled physical inventory audits
- Identify and flag low stock levels, discrepancies, or obsolete inventory to the purchasing team
- Ensure proper organization and labelling of all inventory locations to support warehouse efficiency
Kitting & Production Support
- Assist in kitting components and sub-assemblies for production and project builds as required
- Collaborate with assembly, purchasing, and project management teams to ensure kits are staged accurately and on time
- Report shortages or substitutions required in kits to the appropriate team members
General Warehouse
- Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack to move materials safely throughout the facility (certification required or willingness to obtain)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area in compliance with workplace safety standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse and inventory processes
Qualifications
Required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and part verification
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
- Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, data entry)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/move for extended periods
Preferred / Assets
- Experience with Total ETO or a similar ERP / inventory management system
- Previous forklift experience an asset (training provided for the right candidate)
- Familiarity with outsourcing processes such as powder coating, black oxide, or other finishing services
- Experience in an automation, robotics, or precision manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of shipping platforms and courier portals (FedEx, UPS, Purolator, etc.)
Wage: $20-$25/hr
